 These are replacement adhesive metal plates, not a shielding product. They do not contain any EMF shielding material. Adhere the plate(s) to the back of your phone — we advise adhering them to an existing 3rd party slim phone case instead of directly onto the back of your phone to protect your phone finish. Do NOT adhere the magnets to the DefenderShield Wallet Case Cover.

Connect Any Phone to Our Universal EMF Shielding Wallet Cover


If your original adhesive plate has lost its grip, or you have switched to a new phone and need a fresh plate, this replacement pack allows you to continue using your DefenderShield Universal Phone Wallet Cover. Three plates are included — one large (4” × 2.5”) and two small (2.5” × 1.75” each). Use the single large plate for most phones, or the two smaller plates if your camera lens sits in the center of the phone’s back.

The plates are made for the DefenderShield Universal Phone Case.

How to use

1. Choose your plate configuration. Use the single large plate if your phone’s camera is near the top or corner. Use the two smaller plates side by side if the camera lens sits in the center of the back.

2. Peel the 3M backing. Remove the adhesive backing to expose the sticky surface.

3. Press the plate onto your phone. Adhere it firmly to the back of your phone — we advise adhering to an existing slim phone case nesting if possible (not included) instead of the phone itself, as connecting to the phone directly may make removal difficult without damaging the finish of your phone. Do NOT adhere the metal plates to the actual DefenderShield Wallet Case Cover. 

4. Magnetize to the wallet cover. Align the plate on the back of your phone with the magnetic inside back cover of the DefenderShield Universal Phone Case.

Replacement magnets

Unfortunately, like others, mine would not stick, even with brand new phone. Even though it was cleaned with alcohol, then allowed to dry before trying to adhere the magnets. But I still love your products.

Universal Cell Phone Case Replacement Magnets FAQ

When the original adhesive loses its grip, or when you switch phones. Over time, adhesive can weaken from heat, repeated removal, or contact with oils and moisture. If the plate no longer holds your phone firmly to the wallet cover or car mount, a fresh plate restores the magnetic connection.

It depends on your camera placement. If the camera lens is near the top or corner of the phone, the single large plate covers most of the back without obstruction. If the camera lens sits in the center of the back, the two smaller plates can be placed on either side of the lens to avoid covering it.

Yes, but we recommend a phone case instead. The 3M adhesive holds firmly. If applied directly to the phone’s glass or metal back, removing the plate later may damage the finish of your phone. Sticking it to a slim phone case (not included) gives you the same magnetic grip with easier removal if you ever need to switch cases or phones.

The Universal Phone Wallet Case Cover, which uses a magnetic connection to hold your phone inside the wallet case. The adhesive metal plate gives your phone that magnetic surface. If you own a DefenderShield Detachable iPhone Magnetic Wallet Case (for select iPhone models), you do not need these plates. The magnetic nesting specific to your iPhone model comes with the DefenderShield Universal Wallet Cover.
