Blue Light Filtering for Your Prescription Glasses

If you wear prescription glasses, you know the tradeoff: either buy a separate pair of blue light glasses (and swap between two pairs all day) or skip blue light filtering entirely. These clip-on lenses eliminate that choice. Pinch the prongs to open, clip them onto the bridge of your existing glasses, and you have blue light protection on top of your prescription. When you don’t need the filtering, flip the lenses up on the hinge — they rest above your line of sight until you flip them back down. When you’re done, unclip them and stow them in the included protective case.

The Amber lens filters 50% of blue light. The slight amber tint keeps colors close to natural, making it practical for daytime work, reading, browsing, and driving in overcast conditions. The Orange lens filters 99% of blue light. The deeper tint is designed for evening and nighttime screen use, when blue light has the strongest effect on circadian rhythm. Reducing blue light exposure before bed can support the body’s natural transition to sleep. Choose one for your primary use case, or keep both on hand for day and night coverage.

The lenses are polycarbonate — lightweight, impact-resistant, and optically clear. The nose bridge and hinge are stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long-term durability. At 3 oz total, the clip-ons add minimal weight to your glasses. The flip-up hinge operates smoothly without loosening over time, and the clip prongs grip securely without scratching. A protective hard case is included for travel, commuting, and pocket carry.

Getting Started

1. Check the fit. These clip-ons fit most standard prescription glasses with a bridge width up to 0.5” (approximately 13 mm). Measure the bridge of your glasses — the horizontal bar that connects the two lenses across your nose — to confirm it is 0.5” or narrower. Wider bridges may not clip securely.

2. Clip on. Pinch the prongs on either side of the nose bridge to open them. Position the clip-on lenses over your existing lenses so both pairs are aligned. Release the prongs — they grip the bridge of your glasses and hold the clip-ons in place.

3. Flip up when not needed. The hinge at the bridge allows the clip-on lenses to flip upward, resting above your line of sight. Use this when you need your full, unfiltered view — then flip back down when you return to a screen.

4. Remove and store. Pinch the prongs again to unclip. Store in the included protective case to prevent scratches and bending.

When to Use Each Lens

• Amber (50%) — daytime: Working on a computer or laptop, browsing on a phone or tablet, reading under LED or fluorescent lighting, driving in overcast or rainy conditions. The slight tint allows most natural colors to pass through.

• Orange (99%) — nighttime: Using screens within 2–3 hours of bedtime, gaming sessions, watching TV in a dark room, or any extended evening screen time. The deeper tint filters nearly all blue light, supporting the body’s natural circadian transition toward sleep.

Care Instructions

• Clean the lenses with a soft microfiber cloth. Do not use paper towels, tissues, or abrasive materials.

• For stubborn spots, rinse with water and dry with a microfiber cloth. Avoid chemical lens cleaners unless they are specifically designed for polycarbonate.

• Store in the included protective case when not in use to prevent scratches and hinge damage.

• Do not bend the clip prongs forcefully — they are designed to grip a bridge up to 0.5”. Forcing them wider may weaken the spring mechanism.
