The DefenderShield® EMF Radiation Protection Hooded Jacket is lined with EMF-blocking metallic fabric that blocks up to 99% of wireless RF radiation from reaching your torso and head. The shielding covers the most sensitive parts of the body when you zip up and put the hood up. fabric creates a continuous shielding layer to protect against the ambient RF sources around you.

The outer layer is a Polyester/Spandex performance blend with stretch and warmth. The inner lining is a silver-based metallic fabric that is naturally anti-microbial. The jacket looks and feels like standard athletic outerwear - the shielding is only visible inside the jacket.

    How to use

    Wearing for Maximum RF Reduction

    1. Zip all the way up. The full-length zip brings the shielding fabric across your full torso. Make sure the interior fabric flap is covering the zipper from the inside for uninterrupted shielding.

    2. Use the hood in high-exposure areas. Pull the drawstring hood over your head near cell towers, on public transport, in dense WiFi environments, or anywhere ambient RF levels are elevated. The hood is lined with the same shielding fabric as the jacket body.

    3. Use the shielded pockets. Zip your hands or devices into the pockets when not in active use. The pockets are lined with shielding fabric.

    What the Jacket Covers and What It Does Not

    • Covered: torso (front and back),and head (when hood is up).

    • Not shielded: legs, arms, hands (unless in pockets), and face. For additional coverage, pair with DefenderShield EMF headwear and the EMF Protection Scarf for the neck and upper chest.

    I LOVE this jacket! This is now my most treasured article of clothing. so comfortable and sharp looking. The attention to detail in terms of look, feel and emf protection are impressive. I am super sensitive to EMF, and felt a little shabby wearing my other emf jacket.     Sizing is off

    My experience was not good. I measured myself many times to make sure I got the size right. I usually wear a small and sometimes an XS. However, this jacket was definitely more like an XS size. I then had to pay a lot to return it and for a restocking fee. I then got a medium which is huge, more like a large. I guess small and medium sizes don't really exist for this product.

    Ambient wireless RF radiation from the environment around you. Cell towers, WiFi routers, Bluetooth devices, and low- to mid-band 5G infrastructure all broadcast wireless RF signals continuously. The jacket’s shielding fabric blocks up to 99% of this radiation from reaching the body areas it covers - torso, and head (with hood up). The jacket also blocks the RF radiation from your own phone, tablet, or laptop.

    No - this uses a silver-based metallic fabric designed for wearable comfort. DefenderShield device cases use Ultra Armor® or Ultra Armor+®, which are rigid composites optimized for blocking radiation from a single device at the point of contact. The jacket uses silver-based metallic fabric woven into the lining, designed to block ambient RF radiation from the environment across the entire body surface the jacket covers. Both block wireless RF radiation, but Ultra Armor® blocks higher frequencies like 5G mmWave high band.

    The jacket blocks low- to mid-band 5G signals. These are the bands most commonly deployed in current 5G infrastructure (below 1 GHz and up to 6 GHz). The source specifications for this product do not currently claim high-band mmWave 5G (24 GHz+) coverage. For device-level shielding that covers the full 0–2.5 THz spectrum including high-band mmWave, see DefenderShield’s Ultra Armor+® phone cases, tablet cases, and laptop shields.

    It covers the zipper from the inside to prevent a gap in the shielding. When you zip the jacket fully, the interior fabric flap lays flat over the zipper line. This creates a continuous shielding surface across the front of the torso. Without the flap, the metal zipper teeth would create a narrow unshielded line down the center of the jacket.

    The jacket is designed with a unisex, relaxed fit based entirely on men’s measurements, featuring a boxy silhouette, longer sleeves, and a longer hemline.

    • For a relaxed, roomier fit: Women should order their standard men's size equivalent (for example, if you normally wear a men's Small, order a Small).
    • For a closer, more tailored look: We recommend sizing down one full size from your usual choice.

    Because this jacket is cut more generously than standard women's outerwear, we highly recommend checking the Size Chart in the specifications tab to compare your exact bust, sleeve, and length measurements before purchasing.
