The DefenderShield® Kids Blue Light Blocking Glasses place a filtering lens between your child’s eyes and the screen. Two lens options let you match the protection to the time of day:

The frames are made from silicone rubber - the same flexible, durable material used in children’s sports eyewear. They bend without breaking, bounce back from drops, and survive the daily handling that destroys rigid frames. How to Use

Getting Started

1. Choose the lens based on time of day. Amber (50%) for daytime screen use. Orange (99%) for the 1–2 hours before bedtime.

2. Attach the ear hooks if needed. The silicone ear hooks are removeable. Thread them onto the temple tips and wrap them behind your child’s ears for a non-slip fit during active play or lying down. Remove them if your child prefers.

3. Adjust the hooks as your child grows. The hooks slide along the temple to accommodate different head sizes. Reposition as needed - no tools required.


When to Wear

• School and homework: Amber lens during daytime screen sessions.

• Gaming and streaming: Orange lens during evening sessions, Amber during daytime.

• Before bed: Orange lens for the last 1–2 hours before sleep.

• Television: Either lens depending on time of day.


Care Instructions

• Clean lenses with a microfiber cloth or lens-safe spray.

• Rinse under lukewarm water before wiping to remove dust or food residue.

Bought a pair for both of my boys. One is 5, going on 6 and the other is 2. They fit them both great, and I especially LOVE the silicone ear tabs that are included. My daughter has sensory processing issues and LOVES these glasses. If something is not comfortable she just won’t tolerate wearing it. She also has an eye for design and these tick both boxes in abundance for her. She loves how comfortable these are for her to wear as they are lightweight, smooth, and soft on her skin. Just what we needed!

The kids love them, at 7,9, and 11 years old the kids size glasses fit all of them. We tested to be sure they blocked ask much blue as they claimed and it came through great. The glasses feel solid and are comfortable (even when I slip them on!). With the kids on screens so often for school this year I’m happy to have them!
