The DefenderShield EMF Protection Blanket uses silver-based shielding fabric that requires gentle hand washing in cold water. That’s fine for occasional deep cleans, but it makes everyday care impractical. The duvet cover solves this: remove it from the blanket, toss it in the washing machine, tumble dry, and put it back on. Spills, crumbs, pet hair, and daily use all hit the cover instead of the blanket that contains the shielding fabric. The blanket stays clean and the shielding stays intact — you just wash the cover.

🔗 Five Sizes, Internal Corner Ties, Zipper Closure

Each cover is cut to match a specific DefenderShield blanket size: Small (36” × 35”), Throw (45” × 60”), Medium (75” × 53”), Large (80” × 60”), or X-Large (84” × 75”). Internal corner ties attach to the loops sewn into the inside corners of the DefenderShield blanket, preventing the blanket from shifting or bunching inside the cover. A full-length zipper closure seals the open end so the blanket stays in place during use, whether you’re on the couch, in bed, or using a laptop on your lap.

The cover comes in five colors. Swap covers to match your room, your season, or your mood. If you own more than one cover, you can rotate between washes — one on the blanket, one in the laundry — so the blanket is always covered and protected.

How to use

Attaching the Duvet Cover

1. Lay the cover flat. Spread the duvet cover on a bed, couch, or floor with the zipper end toward you.

2. Turn the cover inside out. Reach inside and pull the cover inside out so the internal corner ties are exposed.

3. Tie the top two corners. Locate the two ties at the far end (opposite the zipper). Tie them securely to the corresponding loops on the top corners of your DefenderShield EMF Protection Blanket.

4. Flip the cover right-side out. Holding the tied corners, shake and flip the cover right-side out so it drapes over the entire blanket.

5. Tie the remaining corners. Fasten the two remaining corner ties to the blanket’s bottom loops, which are on either side of the zipper.

6. Zip it closed. Align the blanket inside the cover and close the zipper along the open end. The blanket should sit flat with no bunching.

Using the Blanket with the Cover On

• The EMF shielding comes from the blanket — the cover does not add shielding. For EMF protection, position the blanket with the duvet cover between your body and the wireless device or environment you are shielding from.

• The cover does not affect the blanket’s shielding performance. The cotton fabric is transparent to wireless signals — RF passes through it as if the cover were not there.

• For laptop use, place the covered blanket across your lap with the laptop on top. For added ELF and heat protection, pair with the DefenderPad.

Care Instructions

• Machine wash the duvet cover as needed. Tumble dry.

• Do not bleach. Do not dry clean.

• Remove the blanket from inside the duvet cover before washing — the EMF Protection Blanket itself must not be machine washed or tumble dried. The blanket requires gentle hand washing in cold water and air drying.

• The 300-thread-count sateen weave holds up to repeated machine washing, like normal bedding.

Much needed

This duvet cover is much needed because it keeps the EMF blanket clean which is very important since the blanket cannot be washed.

I absolutely LOVE my DefendefShield blanket. But the duvet cover is not the same soft material as the blanket, so it’s still soft, but not what I wished it would be. Also, there are no tabs o ties to keep the blanket’s shape once in the cover, so you can safety pin the corners as desired. I’d buy another blanket in a heartbeat, but wish the duvet cover was the same super soft material. At least it keeps the blanket clean, which was the main purpose..

No. The duvet cover is 100% cotton with no shielding material. It does not block any EMF radiation on its own. The EMF Protection Blanket inside the cover provides the shielding. 

The blanket requires hand washing — the cover is machine washable. The DefenderShield EMF Protection Blanket contains silver-based shielding fabric that can be damaged by machine washing and tumble drying. The duvet cover takes the daily wear — spills, stains, pet hair, crumbs — so you can machine wash the cover regularly without ever needing to hand-wash the blanket.

Turn the cover inside out, tie the two top corner ties to the corresponding loops on the blanket, flip the cover right-side out over the blanket, tie the remaining two corners, and zip it closed. The internal ties prevent the blanket from shifting inside the cover. The full process takes about two minutes.

Match the duvet cover size to your blanket size. Yes. Remove the cover from the blanket and machine wash as needed. Tumble dry. Do not bleach or dry clean. The blanket itself must not be machine washed or tumble dried — always remove the cover before washing.

Thread count refers to the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric. A 300-thread-count weave is denser and smoother than standard cotton (typically 150–200 TC). The sateen finish has a subtle sheen and a silky feel while remaining breathable.

The covers are sized and shaped specifically for DefenderShield EMF Protection Blankets. The internal corner ties are designed to attach to the loops sewn into DefenderShield blankets. A different blanket may not align correctly, and the ties may have nothing to attach to.
