Most of DefenderShield's shielding cases and bags only include shielding on one side of the device, which should be placed directly in between your device and your body to block direct contact with EMF, while still allowing your device to connect to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular networks. Shielding performance is verified through FCC-certified military lab testing.
Yes. DefenderShield's Ultra Armor+® and Ultra Armor® shielding technologies cover the full 5G spectrum, including sub-6 GHz and mmWave bands up to 2.5 THz. Lab testing confirms shielding effectiveness across these frequencies. Products with DefenderShield's Advanced Wireless Shielding can block low- and mid-band 5G, but do not cover the full 5G spectrum.

Yes, most DefenderShield products have shielding placed strategically to block EMF between the device and your body in the direction of the shield, while allowing the device's wireless signals (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, GPS) to function normally. Call quality, data speed, and connectivity are unaffected. The exception to this is the Ultra Armor Faraday bag product line, which block wireless signals in and out of the bag completely for data security and privacy.
