What Are the Different Levels of EMF Protection?
You can protect yourself from EMFs across several levels, which we at DefenderShield like to visualize as a pyramid. The pyramid has foundational strategies at the base and complementary methods at the top.

Increasing the distance between you and EMF-emitting devices decreases exposure significantly. If you keep most devices one foot away, you reduce exposure by 80%, and that increases to 98% if you are just 4 feet away.
Even small changes, like keeping your phone out of your pocket or away from your bed, help to create a safer environment.
For small devices like your phone, 1-4 feet away is ideal. For WiFi routers, smart meters, and other more powerful RF transmitters, we recommend placing it 10 feet away from your primary living space, and definitely out of your bedroom!
3. Shielding
As we stated above, EMF radiation is the most harmful the closest it is to your body. A small phone in your pocket all day is worse for you than getting coffee in a WiFi-heavy cafe or going through security at the airport.
EMF shielding is not designed to protect you from all EMF radiation; it simply helps block direct body contact with EMF emitting from devices you are in close contact with throughout the day, similar to the lead bib the radiologist puts over important organs during an x-ray.
