I bought my large size blanket June of 2023. I made this purchase because I was having to spend time somewhere that there were 5G posts popping up everywhere. I’ve given my review 4 stars as I do believe it does what it is intended to do. But here’s what I am unhappy about… No fault of Defender Shield, but I have problems sleeping at night. I move much more than the average person. What I disliked immensely about this blanket was that it had no stitching from end to end that would hold the inside in place. I felt like I was moving around with a large deflated balloon on me, which made for waking up EVEN MORE than I usually do. For those who do not own the blanket, It is hard to describe what happens when you move the blanket around. Best I can say is that there’s a top and bottom layer. In between, there is the protective material (presumably Silver fibers) and AIR. Well, these two layers, top and bottom, come apart and, when they do, you have one big mess of a heavy blanket, moving around with you, but not really structured to stay over you like a blanket. Please understand, I confessed I have issues with sleeping. The average person probably won’t experience this annoyance as they won’t move around, or kick around, very much. But for me, I found myself wrestling with this blanket, and it was so very annoying and even more disturbing to an already sensitive sleep pattern. I really wanted to give it a 3-star rating but, because part of the problem is me, I did not. Still, why can’t a few stitches be added, here and there, through the length of the blanket, kind of like a quilt, to hold the two layers together??? Even two or three stitches would have helped. This was a big sacrifice purchase for me. I am actually homeless, after losing my spouse 3 years ago, and rely on the mercy of a friend until I can find my way to renting my own personal home again. I don’t mention this because I need a pity party, but because I just want to inject some “reality of life” into this. I put over $400 into this blanket, that’s $400 less I had for other needs. If I could have returned it, I would have, but I couldn’t due to my circumstances. Overall, I would rate it a “decent” purchase, but definitely not a “great” one, at least not in my case, if I am to be honest. I’m 66 y.o. and could have used my very limited income on more practical needs. A couple of stitches to pin together top and bottom of my blanket would have made a huge difference. I have to admit I was skeptical because I own a lot of different EMF protection that is just ok. I ordered the medium size blanket and just received it yesterday. I decided to wrap myself in it when I went to bed last night and as I was lying there I could feel my whole body somehow let go and relax at a deeper level. Honestly I was shocked. I had a great night sleep and even slept later than usual. I immediately came back to the site this morning to order the scarf which I will use when I travel and hang out in front of the TV. I may even try taking the blanket with me to Greece in Sept! Thank you Defender Shield for making superior products!!
